How to Make a Macramé Skirt
Get festival-ready with this beginner-friendly macramé skirt! With just a few knots, you can create this on-trend design that will look perfect as you relax by the beach or watch your favourite band this summer.

You will need
Prep:
Size S and 170cm tall 80cm wide x 90cm high
3 x 3.40mt
(for larger/smaller sizes take the waist width and add 2.50 mt)
72 X 2.50mt
(for taller/shorter sizes take the length from waist to ankle, times by 2 and add 80cm)
(for larger/smaller sizes add or reduce the number of strings)
Take the 2 x 3.40mt strings and fix them on a flat surface with masking tape.
Place all the 2.50mt strings on them using the Lark's Head Knot
Double-check that the strings cover your waist
Take four strings and tie a sinnet of 5 Square Knots
Continue making sinnets of 5 Square Knots with all the strings
Next tie alternating sinnets of 5 Square Knots with all the strings
Take 1 x 3.40mt string, place it over the strings, so the ends are equal on both sides of the skirt, and use it as a guide. You can fix it on a flat surface with masking tape.
Tie a horizontal line of Double Half Hitch knots using all the strings.
Fold the skirt in 4, cut the strings at the desired length
Make a knot at the end of each string if you want to add extra details
Make a simple knot at each the end of the strings at the waist
