How to Make Macrame Coasters
These macrame coasters will complete your summer tablescape perfectly and they are super easy to make! Combining modern style and boho chic, this macrame coaster pattern will add a lovely detail to each place setting around the table.

*Scissors
*A measuring tape
*Masking tape
Cut
10 x 1mt of string
1 x 40cm of string
Fix the 40cm string on a flat surface with masking tape leaving a 20 cm gap between the
tape. Place the 10 strings in the gap, using the Lark's Head Knot.
Leave a gap of 2/3cm from the Lark's Head knots and using the 8 strings in the middle
tie a row of two Square knots.
Next, tie a row of three alternating Square Knots.
Follow with a row of four alternating Square Knots.
Next, using all the strings tie a row of sinnet of two Square Knots.
Putting aside the first and last two string tie a row of four alternating Square Knots.
Next, tie a row of three alternating Square Knots and a row of two alternating Square
Knots.
Cut Lark's head knots at the top.
Make sure the two Square knots at the top and bottom are tight. Cut the fringes to make
a round shape. You can use a bowl as a template to help you cut a round shape.
Comb the fringe.
Trim the fringe again until you are happy with the shape.
